Welcome to the Community HealthCorps*VISTA

NACHC currently operates Community HealthCorps*VISTA projects throughout New York state.

Goal:

Improve the capacity of health centers to provide quality health services and programs to medically underserved people. This goal is accomplished through member service activities.

Examples of Service Activities:

Develop and nurture community partnerships and public relations; Strengthen volunteer management systems by improving recruitment, screening, tracking, training and support; Assist with establishing new health centers or service sites; Provide health facility improvement assistance; Conduct needs assessments; assist with progress reporting and evaluation; Strengthen health communications and information technology; Enhance outreach programs and services.

Prospective Project Stations:

If you are a health center, health center network or a primary care association, and interested in sponsoring Community HealthCorps*VISTA members in New York state, please contact Project Coordinator Sherina Davis. If you are not located in New York state and interested in starting a program, please Contact Us. A competitive application will be released soon for organizations interested in becoming new sponsors.
