Community HealthCorps National Program Evaluation

The 2009 National Evaluation of the Community HealthCorps Program of the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) looked at activities and impacts on various distinct levels to obtain a broad view of the Program over time. Specifically, the evaluation looked at the influence of the Community HealthCorps Program on individuals (patients), clinics, and the community served. The evaluation also looked at the impact of Community HealthCorps participation on Community HealthCorps Members themselves in terms of their career and other life choices. The evaluation team, based at the University of Texas, El Paso (UTEP), used a multi-method approach to the evaluation incorporating both quantitative and qualitative data drawn from existing data and a modest amount of newly-collected survey data.
